If you are shopping for a new office desk furniture styles can be so varied that you may have difficulty finding exactly the pieces that will mesh with both your work lifestyle and your office image. Obviously, if you are a high tech promotional type, you don’t really want to fill your office with bulky huge rectangular wooden desks as one would expect to see in the executive suite of major law firm. You will be thinking in terms of steel and glass construction or perhaps round cornered molded desk designs.
When we recently decided to redo all of the desks in our Internet Marketing office, we chose 30 inch by 60 inch Formica topped desks with pedestal legs on each end. While shopping, we quickly determined that we had no need for filing cabinets. Our files all exist on computers. What we did need however were workstations that had been pre fitted for cables and power sources. We also needed a desktop surface that was large enough to allow for small personal printers and easy access to computer USB ports. Our high tech firm needed and purchased office desks that allowed us to comfortably work for long hours at our stations.
